| JUMP, SWING, BOOGIE! This critically acclaimed CD combines a lifetime of swing and jazz influences with original jump swing and blues. The instrumental selections except for the last track are my adaptations of the original "Dave Pell Prez Conference," first recorded in 1978. They are orchestrated versions of Lester Young improvised solos arranged by the great Bill Holman. These solos represent Lester's greatest years, with the Count Basie Orchestra of the late 1930's, and his small groups of the early 40's.The final track is my arrangement of the Rodger's and Hart standard, "Isn't It Romantic," and the four remaining vocal tracks are original jump swing and blues by guitarist Randy Madron. The result is a high energy, swinging album which I'm sure will please both listener and dancer alike.
